Five volunteers attacked the Murphy Bridge project in one very long day!

There were a few small issues along the way - including a downed tree with an ugly root wad looming above - but these proved no obstacle with so many capable hands involved. They replaced the broken and rotted deck plank, replaced and shored up an end upright post, and put on a new railing for the bad side (with fancy routered edge and custom lap joints, thanks to Max Linn). They also hauled out a cache of garbage accumulated from upstream. Three rattlesnakes made guest appearances, a reminder that they love clearing trails almost as much as our volunteers. Many thanks to the latter for all their hard work!
