The Blue Mountain Back Country Riders joined us for a one-day project out of Bear Wallow Trailhead to work on trail #1677 down to the historic Standley Guard Station. Loppers and handsaws were the tools of choice to brush back alder, ceanothus and lodgepole pine saplings that blocked the trail corridor. The showy wildflower, fireweed, brightened the trail with its fuchsia blooms.
