Ten volunteers from WMHCTA and the National Smokejumper Association joined forces to work on Green Lake Trail #1666 in Eagle Cap Wilderness. Over six days they cleared nearly five miles of trail, removed 253 logs, brushed 2 miles, and improved 20 yards of tread with 186 volunteer hours! They even installed three of our new signs at two different trail junctions . The mornings kicked off with breakfasts like pancakes with hash browns, sausages and coffee. In the evenings they shared stories over meals like pulled pork sandwiches and elk shepherd's pie with Basque bread. What a way to spend a week in August!
