A group of seven enthusiastic WMHCTA volunteers had a grand time camping out at the Freezeout trailhead and working on trails leading up to Summit Ridge.

Well, they sort of had a grand time, because it’s a good 3000 feet up to Summit Ridge, and the weather was good and hot. The crew surveyed nearly 12 miles of trail, brushed and logged to their hearts’ content, and learned a whole lot about mushrooms, thanks to a couple of visiting experts!
